I was fortunate to get to know Andrew at a run clinic. So, I got to know him as an athlete and person first. He never once hinted that he had his own business. When I ran into him as an Altitude Multisport club sponsor I was like. “wait I know that guy.”
After listening to him present at a club meeting I knew I wanted to work with him. I thought I just needed help with my race day nutrition. So finally about 8 weeks out from my Ironman I asked for his help. In hind sight, wish I would have made the call sooner.
Although working on my race day nutrition was my goal going in; it turned out my day to day training nutrition is where I had the greatest room for improvement. I went from being completely worn out, especially by the time my rest day arrived, to still being tired as expected from the training load, but still having some energy and found I was recovering from my workouts like I hadn’t experienced in the past.
I’ve been able to take those lessons learned and carry them forward into the next training cycle. I can’t say enough about the experience I had with Andrew and look forward to working with him in the future as I still have a lot to learn.
*Andrew BFSPN: It was fun Jon. And for those reading this testimonial Jon is the one standing on the #1 podium spot for Olympic distance Tritheboat 2016. It can happen. Great nutrition + Great coaching + Athlete Effort = win
